One of the most visited cultural attractions of the town of Marian Spa is the Singing Fountain, built in 1986. It is a multimedia fountain with an average of 18 meters, located on the colonnade of Maxim Gorky. The fountain is of a circular shape made of stone and metal. The fountain composition displays the motif of floating water on the surface. The fountain also is color-coded and electronically controlled. The architect Pavel Mikšík is responsible for the artwork. The Villa Gloria is less than a 15-minute walk from the Fountain.
The fountain can be enjoyed in the seasons from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm every other hour and in the evening at 21:00 and 22:00 with colorful lighting projection. In 2018 the following musical compositions are featured as part of the experience: Fountain Music by Petr Hapka, Vivo Per Lei, Romanza by Andrea Bocelli, Rondo á la Krakowiak by Fryderyk Chopin, Piano Concerto No. 1 in B Minor by Petra Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the Barber of Seville (Overture) by Gioacchino Rossini, Tell Him, My Heart Will Go On from Titanic as sung by Celine Dion, Concierto de Aranjuez (2nd part) by Joaquin Rodrigo and Serenado Op. 6 by E. Toselli. For special occasions the musical works associated with the Vltava by Bedřich Smetana, Then To The West by E. Morricone and the Vangelis 1492 Conquest of Paradise are prepared.
